INFRARED ASPHALT REPAIR

What Is An Infrared Asphalt Repair?

Using special equipment, we use heat to activate damaged asphalt areas. We add emulsifiers to rejuvenate it, then blend in new asphalt if needed to repair the area. The equipment heats up to 2” deep into the existing asphalt and does not burn or oxidize the surrounding asphalt. It is a remarkable way to correct a wide range of problems, including alligator cracking, dips and depressions, and large and irregular shaped potholes.

What Are The Benefits?

Economical: It is more economical as you are mainly re-using existing asphalt and only adding a bit of new material. This decreases customer cost significantly compared to cutting out and disposing old asphalt and installing new pavement.

Environmentally Friendly: It’s true - these asphalt repairs are better for the environment! Since infrared repairs mean we are reusing or recycling the existing asphalt, there is less need to produce and transport new asphalt. Plus recycling means less waste is sent to landfills.

Infrared Asphalt Repairs can be done very quickly and can be driven on shortly after sealing is completed, keeping traffic disruptions to a minimum. You can anticipate that the sealing will last 2-3 years in ideal conditions before more maintenance is needed. Once it’s time for some touch ups, we’ll be right there to work with you again.
